I don't understand either why these flashlights have negative reviews. This is my second Princeton Tec flashlight, I had to replace the first one (an Attitude) only because it was stolen, but this time I chose this model instead (and I may still get another Attitude as well!!). I needed a good and dependable flashlight for my car and for hiking trips; it may be a tad too heavy to take on a backpack, but it's perfect for just about everything else. It's very bright (far stronger than the attitude, with a narrower beam), very sturdy, and quite comfortable to carry in your hand; and very easy to turn on and off.All in all, an excellent flashlight!! Purchased two of these lights for a recent dive trip. Max depth was 106 ft. Both lights leaked during first dive........one actually exploded on return to surface.The single o ring seal does not seem to hold up under high pressure.I would not recommend these for serious divers. Mine endured a lot and is the only flashlight I trust,and the only one I take with me when I go camping/Hiking/Trips/& pretty much everything.This flashlight is not a "cost" it is a Investment.
